- Book Synopsis
- Kit Castleman meets her New York cousin as they join forces to defend a famous country singer accused of murdering a well-known rapper - whom he believes had an affair with his wife. As the case unfolds, Kit and her cousin develop a close bond, working alongside Kit's grandfather, Ike Cobb, and Sam's adopted brother, Djuan Barnes, to investigate alternative suspects. Unbeknownst to them at first, their search for the truth puts them on the trail of a serial killer. As the trial progresses, the killer, sensing impending capture, takes drastic action. This gripping and nuanced legal thriller delivers a well-structured and authentic journey, bringing both primary and secondary characters to life with depth and complexity. Readers will be left eager to follow the lives of Kit Castleman, Sam Crisp, Ike Cobb, and Djuan Barnes in future stories.
