- About The Author
- Lisa was born and grew up in Nottingham. Following a degree in drama she worked as an actor for over a decade before writing her debut novel. The Art of Being Normal became a bestseller and went on to win the Waterstones Children's Book Prize for best older fiction. Lisa is also the author of four additional novels for young adults, including the critically acclaimed The Summer After The Night Before which was published in 2026. Lisa also created the popular Bigg School series for younger readers. Stepmum Showdown (the seventh title) will be published in September 2026, with more to follow. She lives in Kent with her family.
