- Lachit Borphukan falls in love with Princess Padmini. But her father, Swargadeo Jayadhwaj Singha, the king of the Ahom kingdom, finds out and throws Lachit out of the capital, Jorhat. A few days later, the Ahom capital is attacked by Aurangzeb's forces. The king signs a truce treaty, thereby ceding part control of his kingdom to the Mughals.
