- Book Synopsis
- Some collections serve to mark particular events or milestones, whilst others contain work of the highest quality. This collection manages both of these things, with 75 pieces of poetry and short fiction by local writers celebrating 75 years of creativewriting in this fabulous city of the arts. Cardiff Writers' Circle was formed in 1947 and is joined here by other local writing groups, all lending their imaginations to a wide variety of styles, genres, and formats.
- About The Author
- Sara Hayes has written for fun for a very long time. Since retiring, she has joined Cardiff Writers' Circle, which is even more fun. She has had one poem published and many poems and short stories rejected. She is working on a historical novel set in China at the birth of the Empire. All his life Paul Jauregui has had stories battering around in his head, screaming to be released. His previous audience of two daughters escaped, but he now has two grandchildren who are too little to do that. Yet. He only became chair of Cardiff Writers' Circle to gain a captive audience. Martin Buckridge was born in Peru but lived most of his childhood in West Kirby on the Wirral. Now mainly retired, he had a career in museums, industrial archaeology, and grant giving. He is married and lives in Cardiff. A relative newcomer to creative writing, Martin produces short stories and poetry.
