- Of the five chapters in this study, Chapter I introduces the problems of describing and analyzing the coaching philosophies of football coaches in Oregon. Chapter II reviews seven personal interviews taken from Oregon coaches. Chapter III analyzes what the seven coaches had in common. Chapter IV analyzes what the seven coaches did differently in their programs. Chapter V presents a summary, the conclusion and the recommendations. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the coaching philosophies of football coaches in Oregon. After thoroughly understanding each of the philosophies, the investigator prepared a comparison and summation of what these philosophies had in common.
