- Book Synopsis
- Pastor Lillian Daniel crossed a line that threatened to cost her everything. But the resulting scandal, which led to a yearlong exile from ministry and changed the whole trajectory of her life, also offered a pathway toward faith, hope, and a new vision for what the church can be for all, including those who stumble.
- About The Author
- Lillian Daniel is a pastor, teacher, and writer who currently serves as the Michigan Conference Minister for the state's 140 congregations of the United Church of Christ, tasked with the oversight and care of hundreds of clergy. Her books (Tired of Apologizing for a Church I Don't Belong To; When "Spiritual but Not Religious" Is Not Enough; and This Odd and Wondrous Calling) have given readers insights into the changing religious landscape, the growing number of people who claim "none" as their religious preference, and the "odd and wondrous calling" of life in the pastorate. She has taught preaching at several schools, including Chicago Theological Seminary, University of Chicago, University of Dubuque Theological Seminary, and Yale Divinity School.
