- Book Synopsis
- Slow down and unwind with this retelling of a fable that celebrates the simple pleasures in life. Fisherbear loves his simple life, sharing his daily catch with his friends and family. But one day, a rich stranger arrives on his big boat and tells Fisherbear he should sell his fish for money instead, so he can buy a bigger boat, to catch more and more fish to sell... and eventually become a millionaire. But what then? Would that really change Fisherbear's life for the better? This forgotten classic cautionary tale has been remastered for a new generation by children's author Ruth Quayle, and stunningly illustrated by Victoria Sandøy, the illustrator behind Julia Donaldson's The Christmas Pine.
- About The Author
- Ruth Quayle used to work as a journalist and copywriter, and was inspired to write books for children by the funny things her own kids said. Ruth lives in London with her family and when she's not writing, you'll find her stepping on bits of lego, burning fish fingers and trying to convince the children that there really isn't room for a dog.
