- About The Author
- Steve Rendle was bitten by the F1 bug as a child, and his passion for the sport was reinforced after attending the 1981 British Grand Prix. As a one-time technical author and editor at Haynes Publishing, he combined his interest in motorsport and engineering with a curiosity for finding out how things work to write three Haynes Manuals about F1 cars, namely the Red Bull RB6 (2010-14), the Williams FW14B (1992) and the McLaren MP4/4 (1988), before writing Formula 1 Technology: The engineering explained for Evro. Grandprix+ said of his Formula 1 Technology book: 'This is without question the book with all the answers… ground-breaking.' Now a freelance writer and editor, he has brought together his enthusiasm for F1 and thirst for behind-the-scenes knowledge in his latest book. He lives in Somerset.
