- About The Author
- Faraz Osman is an award-winning programme maker, children's television expert and creative who crafts stories especially for young audiences. He has made much-loved children's television for CBeebies, Disney, and Paramount, and was previously the Editor of Education at Channel 4. He has spent many years working on programmes designed to spark curiosity and support children's learning. Alongside his creative work, Faraz is a passionate champion of young and diverse voices, supporting new talent through organisations such as BAFTA. He lives in the UK with his family where many of his story ideas begin, inspired by everyday moments, his children's curiosity, and big questions about the world. When he's not writing, Faraz can be found either cooking in the kitchen, on the sofa with a joypad, or out and about finding playful ways to help children feel confident, curious, and included. Tommy Panays is a storyteller, director, and executive producer who finds most of his best ideas somewhere between early-morning football runs and his kid's bedtime negotiations! He has written for Disney, 4Music, and The Amazing World of Gumball, and has created work across major global brands and media platforms. His work blends humour, heart, and imagination, shaped by years spent working across entertainment, sport, and popular culture. Tommy lives in the UK with Anna and their two young sons, spending weekends ferrying football kits and half-asleep children to matches and training in all weathers, singing very loud Liverpool songs (to mixed reviews), and fielding ongoing requests for him to change careers and work in a pizzeria for the obvious benefits. These familiar moments - and the chaos that comes with them - sit at the heart of Match of the Bedtime.
