He has served as editor on anumber of journals including Asia Pacifi c Viewpoint and Journal of RuralStudies.John Overton is Professor of Development Studies and Human Geography atVictoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. He has held universitypositions at four other institutions including the Australian National University.He is past President of the New Zealand Geographical Society and formerDirector of the Commonwealth Geographical Bureau. He has served as an editorfor a range of journals including Asia Pacifi c Viewpoint.
