- Book Synopsis
- Hello Space is a clever and visually imaginative picture book which takes a whistle-stop tour of the solar system in search of life in outer space. Waterhouse, the Natural History Museum' s resident mouse, surveys the surface of the Moon and Mars and inspects passing asteroids and meteorites, looking for clues to the origins of life. Waterhouse peers through powerful new telescopes which illustrate the astonishing scale of the universe, and inspects the robotic rovers and probes designed to uncover the deep, dark depths of space. David Mackintosh' s distinctive illustrations make this the perfect book for all children who are curious about space, the solar system, aliens, and what makes life on Earth possible.
- About The Author
- David Mackintosh has previously written and illustrated Dippy: The Nation's Favorite Dinosaur for the Natural History Museum and this book is his second with a gigantic subject. He made many trips to the Museum for inspiration for this book - but never once saw a titanosaurus. The illustrations are made with oil pencil, ink, kraftpaper and watercolor.
