Gérald Sibleyras's Le Vent des Peupliers premiered at the Wyndham's Theatre, London, in October 2005 as Heroes, an English-language version by Tom Stoppard. It received the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Comedy in 2006.
- About The Author
- Gérald Sibleyras was born in Paris in 1961. Heroes, or Le Vent des Peupliers, was originally commissioned by Théâtre Montparnasse and received four Molière nominations in 2003. His other plays include Le Banc, La Danse de l'Albatros and and three plays co-written with Jean Dell: Le Béret de la Torture, Une Heure et Demie de Retard and Un Petit Jeu sans Conséquence, which received five Molière awards in 2003.
