- Al Brown is an iconic New Zealand chef and fisherman, much loved for his restaurants Depot and Federal Delicatessen, his Best Ugly bagel shops, his bestselling books Eat Up: Bach Edition, Go Fish and Stoked among others, his associations with high-profile brands, and his ground-breaking approach to New Zealand food. Hope McConnell is an illustrator, maker and designer based in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. She has worked on a range of books as well as brand, advertising, packaging and projects. If she's not at her desk, she's up a mountain, in a lake, scrounging for second-hand goods, or making and eating delicious food.
