- About The Author
- A well-respected railway historian, JEFF VINTER joined the Railway Society at the University of Exeter whilst studying History there and began exploring the West Country's closed rail network. An ex-Chairman of Railway Ramblers and serving Trustee of the charity Railway Paths, he has acted as consultant to a number of television series about disused railway lines, most notably Along These Lines for Meridian and the BBC series Railway Walks with Julia Bradbury, as well as James May's Toy Stories. His books include the four-volume Railway Walks series. He lives in Chichester, Sussex.
