- Book Synopsis
- A lifetime of polemical writing about the theatre from the socialist playwright, director, producer and founder of 7:84. Naked Thoughts That Roam About is McGrath's own selection from a long lifetime of writing about and campaigning for a theatre that is both truly popular and politically responsible. 'Committed to the idea of art as popular, relevant and politically engaged, McGrath devoted his life to that cause... His prose-style, like the man himself, is ebullient, provocative and, above all, life-enhancing.' Michael Billington 'He was one of those people whom you always rely on not to sell-out, and he never did' Ken Loach
