- Book Synopsis
- A story about a young boy who at the start of the tale is happy and enjoying most things in life, but it is short-lived as he experiences all that life throws at him, causing drama and pain for him. Advancing into adulthood, he's pushed into war and all the horrors that go hand in hand with it. A grim time in far-off places that he often wishes he was far from and back into a world of contentment, a world he was once happy in. A spark of relief comes, yet only in short bursts until more drama follows. Fate changes his course, and new friends are made. Memories haunt him; guilt follows him everywhere. As the years pass, what is there for him? What can he do? Will he ever be at peace again? Help comes from an old friend.
- About The Author
- Growing up in Somerset and one of four girls, Marion and her sisters had a wonderful childhood. They were all encouraged to read. Not only reading, Marion progressed to firstly writing poems, then stories as she got older. After leaving school, she studied accounting, law and finally reflexology in her spare time with many a 'pair of feet' getting the treatment. Years later, she and her husband ran their own electrical manufacturing business until she finally retired from her role as finance director to move to Spain. Since settling there, the Spanish way of life has been less demanding, giving her more time to write children's stories, short stories and novels.
