- About The Author
- Eileen Younghusband was born in London in 1921. At the age of 87, Eileen graduated from the Open University as one of its students of the year. She was honoured with a British Empire Medal in 2013 for her services to lifelong learning. Eileen sadly passed away in 2016, not long after the release of Eileen's War, a children's edition of her award-winning novel One Woman's War. On the 4th of July 2025, to celebrate what would have been Eileen's 104th birthday, Candy Jar Books published Eileen's full memoir, Not An Ordinary Life.
