- Book Synopsis
- Geoffrey returns home to Overdene after a lifetime of working in South Africa. His failed marriage and approaching retirement force him to consider his future and the realisation that a new aim is essential to his wellbeing. As he formulates his plans, the complications of other people and life bring their own change and considerations, and Geoffrey's path may not be exactly as he imagines it.
- About The Author
- After her books Ellie Hopeson 91 and Living in Harmony, both of which were published by Pegasus, Muriel Freeborn now aged ninety-three, has followed with her third book, Overdene. The Covid-19 lockdown had not deterred her from continuing to write, indeed, her characters have kept her company in the rather solitary life she has been forced to lead. She still plays the organ, sharing a rota with others at two village churches, so practising takes up some of her time. She lives in an old Grade II listed terrace house in a Wiltshire town and keeps an eagle eye open for any signs of a leak in her roof after heavy rain.
