- Book Synopsis
- In a groundbreaking new book, debut author Karim El-Ayoubi debunks neoclassical economics and provides an alternative system that will bring stability to our society. The first book to draw on the experience of many different countries, including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Singapore, and modern-day China, Germany and America, Realonomics also provides an easily understood roadmap that leads us out of the mess we are in today, to a fairer and more equitable society for all. Realonomics is the only book available that looks at diverse economic policies around the world, examines popular economic theories such as MMT and touches on a broad range of subjects that are affecting society today. Targeted at anyone who did not study economics, Realonomics has a broad appeal, explaining simply and clearly how our current economic system not only does not work for the good of society, but how it is constructed to fail, with devastating consequences. This book is essential reading for anyone who is wondering why they are working so hard to stand still and what can be done to make the future brighter.
- About The Author
- Karim El-Ayoubi spent three years studying economics at the University of Oxford in the mid-1990s. He went on to work for some of the big names in banking, including JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs and Chase Manhattan, where he found that what he had learned at university didn' t measure up to reality. With his faith in economics in tatters, Karim embarked on a journey to understand what drives the economy and financial markets. Realonomics is the result of that search for truth, where reality and economics finally meet.
