When she meets Dan, the sparks fly and they become instant lovers, yet they never publicly acknowledge their relationship and eventually drift apart. As the years pass - New Labour is voted in and BritPop and BritArt make Britannia cool again - chance encounters keep Dan and Anna criss-crossing each other's lives, until one day, something unexpected happens that will change both of their futures for ever.
