- About The Author
- Joanne Bryan grew up on the small island of Formentera, where The Magic Lizard takes place. She loved to roam the island, listening to the local tales and myths and exploring caves and secret valleys. On retiring after a career as a musician and flute teacher, she returned to her second love: studying literature and writing stories. In writing this book, she has used her childhood memories of the magic and wonder of a remote island whose history reaches back to prehistoric times.
